The night will be mostly clear and calm.
On Wednesday, the weather will be sunny, but in the afternoon cumulus and cumulonimbus clouds will develop, mainly over Western Bulgaria. Showers and thunderstorms are expected before midnight, more intense in the mountains. Winds will briefly shift to the northwest, while in the east they will come from the northeast and strengthen to moderate.
Daytime highs will range from 32°C to 37°C, slightly lower in the southwest, about 31°C in Sofia. Atmospheric pressure will remain slightly below average for the month.
In the mountains, the day will be mostly sunny, with afternoon storms over western ranges, accompanied by short but heavy rain and thunder. East-northeast winds will blow moderately. Highs will reach about 27°C at 1200 m and 19°C at 2000 m.
Along the Black Sea coast, it will stay sunny with light to moderate easterly winds. Maximums will be 28–32°C, seawater about 25°C, waves 2–3 points.
On Thursday and Friday, the weather will remain mostly sunny, with occasional clouds – on Thursday in the far west, on Friday over the Rhodopes, where brief showers are possible. Winds from the north-northeast will be light to moderate in the east. Temperatures will ease, with highs between 28°C and 33°C.
