As of July 1, 2025, all pensions in Bulgaria will be increased by 8.6%, according to the so-called “Swiss rule.” This applies to around 2 million pensioners.
- The minimum pension for insurance service and age will increase from BGN 580.57 to BGN 630.50.
- The average pension will rise to approximately BGN 1000.
- The social pension for old age (for those without sufficient work experience) will increase from BGN 307.07 to BGN 333.48.
This increase will be reflected in pension payments starting from July 7 through July 21.
